An Easter wholesale collection should have a design-by-design quantity matrix, shared color references, a defined display method and a store-ready pack. Work backward from the buyer’s warehouse need-by date and agree sample, artwork and packaging approvals before confirming production timing.

Design the range before the individual SKU

Choose the number of designs, target retail uses and a consistent palette. Decide which elements repeat across the range: wood tone, print treatment, cord color, label style or carton graphics. A single decoration might look appealing in a sample photo while the full collection looks inconsistent on a shelf. Request a group photograph of approved samples placed together.

For hanging pieces, specify finished dimensions, thickness, hole position and hanging method. For tabletop pieces, specify the base or support and check stability on a level surface. If designs include thin ears, stems or cutouts, review those details in physical samples and in the final pack.

Assortment and packing decisions

State whether stores buy each design separately or receive a mixed assortment. Define units per inner pack, barcode requirements and whether retail packaging must display the product without unpacking it. The supplier needs this information before carton sizing and final pricing. Ask for a pack-out sample showing the actual tag, protective wrap and assortment label.

Work backward from your in-store date. Build time for artwork approval, color sample review, packaging sign-off, production and transport. Confirm milestones with the chosen supplier rather than using a generic seasonal lead-time claim. A rushed last-minute color change can disrupt the whole range.

Should Easter designs share one retail pack?

A common card or box can simplify the range if the smallest and largest pieces both fit and display well. Test those extremes first. Keep barcode and design identification distinct even when the graphic template is shared.
