A wholesale wooden jewelry box needs a defined jewelry set, an approved holder or lining and enough clearance for both storage and removal. Inspect the open presentation and closed alignment. A ring slot, necklace channel and watch cushion should not be treated as interchangeable interior specifications.

Define the jewelry set

Is the box for a ring, bracelet, necklace or mixed set? Measure the item including its display card or pouch. For rings, test the slot’s grip and whether a customer can remove the ring without pulling up the insert. For necklaces, plan where the chain rests so it does not tangle. For mixed sets, draw a compartment layout and mark the orientation of each piece.

Lining and closure choices

Compare fabric, flocking and other lining samples under the same lighting as the product photography. Check visible corners, seams and adhesive marks. Choose a closure that fits the selling experience: a hinged lid allows display; a sliding lid gives a different unboxing sequence. Inspect how the closed box aligns from every side and whether the logo remains upright when displayed.

Do not assume a logo method will look the same on every finish. Request a physical proof on the proposed material. A small mark can lose clarity in strong grain; a large mark can dominate a compact lid. Keep the artwork and its placement in the approval file.

A purchase-order checklist

List external and internal dimensions, material, finish reference, lid construction, lining color, insert layout, logo artwork, unit packaging and carton pack count. Request the sample with actual jewelry inside and approve both the open and closed appearance. Agree on visible defect criteria before the run: alignment, scratches, glue marks and fabric creases are easier to discuss against an approved sample.

How do I check a jewelry insert before ordering?

Install the actual jewelry, lift it out and replace it without pulling the lining loose. Inspect snag points, exposed glue and pressure on delicate components. Use the same contents and sample revision when evaluating competing suppliers.
